Free should mean free!

People love free stuff, don’t we all! And giving away free stuff is a great way to demonstrate your knowledge, make new contacts, and share something of value to genuinely help other people.

But (you knew that was coming!), tricking people with a promise of free info or help really isn’t on. You see it quite often online where an article promises a free guide but it’s actually just a thinly veiled sales pitch. You often get half a page into the article and realise it’s not actually told you anything and slowly descends into an out and out sales pitch. Arghhh!!!

So if you’re going to offer something for free then do just that. Actually deliver what you promised and give away the value that you said you would. People won’t even mind a little plug for your products/services within it if that’s of use. Just as long as what you promised would be free, still is.
